Description

The Rose and Crown Public House is a late 18th century or early 19th century timber-framed and plastered building located on Nethergate Street in Clare. It is two storeys high and features a four-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, all set in cased frames. There are two doorways with plain architraves and cornices. The roof is gabled and covered with slate. This public house is part of a group of listed buildings that includes No 11, Nos 13 to 15 (consecutive), Nos 17, 18, Nos 20, 22, Orchard House, and Nos 23 to 26 (consecutive) on the southeast side.
