Description
No. 18 Nethergate Street is a small house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is timber-framed and plastered, now covered with roughcast. The building has two storeys and features one window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, set in cased frames topped with small cornice hoods. The doorway is framed with a wood architrave and has a flat cornice hood supported by brackets. The roof is slate and gabled at the front. This property is part of a group that includes No. 11, Nos. 13 to 15 (consecutive), Nos. 17, 18, the Rose & Crown Public House, Nos. 20, 22, Orchard House, and Nos. 23 to 26 (consecutive) on the southeast side.
