Description

No 13 on Nethergate Street, formerly the Police Station, is an early 19th-century house constructed of red brick with a white brick front that features flat pilasters. The building has two storeys and a four-window arrangement, with the windows being double-hung sashes that have glazing bars and are set in plain reveals. The entrance is highlighted by a stucco Roman Doric portico. Above the central window, there is a plain pediment. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. This property is part of a group that includes No 11, Nos 13 to 15 (consecutive), Nos 17, 18, the Rose & Crown Public House, Nos 20, 22, Orchard House, and Nos 23 to 26 (consecutive), along with all the listed buildings on the southeast side.
