Description

The barns at Cliftons are two 16th century timber-framed and weatherboarded structures located at the rear of Cliftons. One barn is a single-aisled building that has been converted into an open-sided cart shed, featuring an inserted floor above for storage. The heavy timbers in this barn display assembly marks. Its roof is thatched. The second barn, dating from the 16th to 17th century, has three bays and is also weatherboarded, with a central gabled entrance. Its roof is tiled.
