Description

Verandah House is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on Nethergate Street. It has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied across the entire front. The house features five early 19th-century Gothic three-light casement windows, which have leaded lights and pointed arches. At the north end, there is a gable adorned with 16th-century carved bargeboards, a tie beam, and curved braces, all decorated with folded-leaf ornamentation. Inside, the house boasts moulded ceiling beams and joists, along with an early 19th-century staircase. The roof is tiled.
