Description

Riverside is an early 16th-century house that is timber-framed and now features plastered rusticated panels. The building has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied at the front. An extension was added to the southwest end of the house in the 17th century. The house has five windows; the ground storey features 18th-century or early 19th-century double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in cased frames, while the first storey has 20th-century metal casements. There is a six-panel door with raised and fielded panels, framed by a rusticated plaster surround. The roofs are tiled, and there is an old brick chimney stack. Inside, the house has exposed framing along with moulded and carved beams.
