Description

Hope Cottage is an 18th century timber-framed and plastered house located on the east side of Market Hill in Clare. The building stands two stories high and features a two-window range with double-hung sashes that have glazing bars, set in flush cased frames. The doorway is adorned with narrow pilasters and a flat, modillion hood. The roof is covered with slate. Hope Cottage is part of a group of listed buildings that includes all the listed buildings in Market Hill, Church Street, Station Road, and Well Lane.
