Description

Bentfield Hall Cottage is an 18th-century house located on the north-west side of Cambridge Road in Stansted Mountfitchet. The building features a combination of timber framing and plaster, along with brick facing. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a three-window range, showcasing double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes two 19th-century canted bay windows, which do not have glazing bars. The central doorway is adorned with reeded architrave and a cornice hood. The roof is tiled, hipped, and double-pitched, featuring one segmental-headed dormer at the front.
