Description

Peverals is an 18th century or earlier house located on the north side of Thaxted Town Street. It features a timber frame with plastering and a red plain tile roof. The facade is made of plastered brick from the 19th century. The building has two storeys and a two-window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars and segmental heads. There is a heavy cornice above the doorway supported by scroll consoles, and a ground floor bay window topped with a tile roof.
