Description

No. 4 Nethergate Street is a late 18th century or early 19th century house that is timber-framed and plastered, standing on a plinth. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. A central doorway, which is accessed by stone steps with a handrail, has a wooden doorcase adorned with pilasters and a cornice hood. The roof is covered with slate. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 1 to 9 (consecutive) on the northwest side of Nethergate Street and all the listed buildings on the south side of Well Lane.
