Description
This building, consisting of two shops and a house, dates from the early 19th century. The elevation facing High Street features two storeys with rendered walls and a hipped slated roof that has an axial chimney made of gault brick. It includes small-pane sash windows and a 19th-century shop front with a pair of 20th-century partly-glazed panelled doors. There is also a 19th-century four-panelled entrance door with an oblong fanlight, which is recessed between panelled reveals and topped with a cornice on moulded console brackets. The elevation on St. Andrew's Street has three storeys and is constructed of gault brick, with a hipped slated roof. It features sash windows with flat arches made of painted gauged brick and small-pane sashes. The building is included for its group value.
