Description
Lodge Farmhouse is a house that dates from the mid 17th century, with later enlargements in the mid 18th century and a refronting in the early 19th century. It has two storeys and attics, and features a timber frame that is rendered, with the front wall covered in gault brick from the early 19th century. The roof is thatched and has a double-pile design. The front range, added in the mid 18th century, includes red brick gable chimneys. The windows are 20th-century casements set in 19th-century segmental-headed openings. The central entrance has a six-fielded-panel door with a rectangular fanlight and panelled pilasters, and there is a small lattice porch from the 19th century with a flat roof. The rear range, which dates from the 17th century, has a hipped roof and is one and a half storeys tall, with attics and dormers, and an axial chimney.
