Description

Wantz Farmhouse is a house that originated in the early 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame that is plastered, along with early 19th century gault brick front and rear wings that have been bricked-up. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and the building has two storeys. The front has a three-window range with early 19th century small paned double hung sliding sashes. There is a central open gabled porch made of gault brick, which has a plain board door with reveal panels. The house has a central attached diagonal shaft chimney stack and a red brick stack to the right. The gable ends are adorned with moulded bargeboards, and there are two cross and four circular iron tie plates.
