Description
Little Bensons is a pair of semi-detached houses built in the 19th century. They are constructed from gault brick and feature hipped roofs covered with grey slate. The buildings stand two storeys tall and have basements. The first floor has a range of four small paned, vertical sliding sash windows, each topped with gauged arches. On the ground floor, there are two central oriel windows with hipped roofs, pendants, and moulded soffits. The doors on the left and right sides are currently boarded up but originally had round-headed fanlights with glazing bars and matching stucco arches above them. These doors are accessed by steps that have elegant cast iron balusters and rails.
The left return extension is plastered and also two storeys high, featuring a parapet and a moulded cornice. It has three small paned vertical sliding sash windows with moulded surrounds. There is a moulded architrave and pediment above the door on the left side. The property is topped with two red brick chimney stacks, one with six fluted cream-colored chimney pots and the other with four, both adorned with acroterion. Additionally, there is a later extension at the rear of the building.
