Description
The Cock Tavern is a public house dating from the 18th to 19th century. It has a timber frame, with sections that are plastered and weatherboarded. There is a single-storey, flat-roofed extension at the front, which was added in the 19th to 20th century. The building features a grey slate roof and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there is a three-window range consisting of small-paned vertical sliding sashes, although the central window is now blocked. The front extension is block boarded and has nine pilasters with small capitals and bases, along with five 19th-century sliding sash windows. The building has an angled corner to the right and a 20th-century panelled door. A central chimney stack is made of gault brick.
