Description
Nether Hall is a house dating from the mid 17th century, with some alterations made in the 18th century. It has two storeys and attics, and is constructed with a timber frame that is plastered. The roofs are covered with plain tiles, although several slopes have been renewed with pantiles. There is a central chimney from the 17th century made of pink/gault brick. The windows are 18th and 19th century casements, with some replicated in the 20th century. The entrance features a lean-to porch with a 19th century four-panelled door. The main range on the west side displays unmoulded 17th century framing, with joists set on edge, primary-braced studding, and a windbraced clasped purlin roof. Inside, there is an open lintelled fireplace that incorporates a reused lintel from a 16th century timber-framed chimney. At the back, there is an 18th century wing accompanied by a lean-to structure.
