Description

Hill House is a 17th-century house located in Old Newton Mill Hill, With Dagworth. It originally comprised three rooms arranged in a lobby-entrance plan, with a further parlour block projecting forward to the left. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof and an axial chimney built of red brick. Most of the windows are early 20th-century casements with leaded lights. A 20th-century lean-to porch has been added at the original lobby entrance. The internal timber framing is of a mid-17th-century style, featuring on-edge floor joists. The interior was remodelled in the early 20th century.
