Description
Rosemary Cottage is an early 18th century house with a three-cell plan, featuring one storey and attics. The building is timber-framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof that includes 20th century eyebrow casement dormers. It has an axial chimney made of 18th century red brick and a 19th century end chimney, which is accompanied by a pantiled lean-to extension on the left side. The windows are small-pane casements from the 19th and 20th centuries. The entrance is a 20th century gabled porch with a boarded door. The cottage showcases complete and well-exposed framing made from various hardwood timbers, excluding oak, and features primary-braced studding.
