Description
Saddlers is an early 19th-century cottage located on the east side of High Street in Ixworth. The building is two storeys high and has an L-shaped form. Its front is made of colour-washed brick, while the sides and rear are timber-framed and plastered. The gable end is lined to simulate stone. The roof is covered with black glazed pantiles.
The cottage features a former shop window and entry beneath a single brick arch. The door has a plain frame and consists of six raised fielded panels. There are two small-paned fixed windows with a blocked doorway situated between them. On the upper floor, there are two 2-light casements that have Gothic heads and square-leaded panes. The building is included for its group value.
