Description
The Cottage Farmhouse is a former farmhouse that consists of two main sections. It features a single-cell remnant of an early 17th century range that once extended further to the right, with a small late 17th century addition to the left. There are also single storey 20th century additions on the far left and at the rear. The building is timber framed and plastered, with pantiled roofs, and is 1½ storeys high. The main part has one 18th century casement window, a 20th century flat-roofed dormer, and an internal stack. The addition includes one small-paned casement window, a doorway with a 20th century boarded door and flat hood, and an 18th century stack against the gable end. Inside, a former rear outside wall that is now within the house preserves some old panelled plasterwork with ropework pargetting.
