Description
No. 1 Church Street is a shop with domestic accommodation above, dating from around 1830. The building is constructed of rendered and whitewashed brick and features a slate roof. It occupies a corner site and stands three storeys tall. The ground floor has a shop front with plain pilasters that frame display windows and a half-glazed door located in the canted corner. The display windows were replaced in the 20th century with plate glass. The west elevation is lit by two 20th-century top-hung casements on the first and second floors. There are three similar ground-floor casements on the Church Street elevation and two more on the first floor. The roof is gabled and has a rebuilt ridge stack located east of the centre. The interior has not been inspected.
