No. 4 West Street is a shop with accommodation above, dating from around 1830. The building is constructed of stock brick, with some red brick, and features a pantile roof with tile-coped gables, wooden eaves, and a gable stack. It stands three storeys high with a two-bay front. The ground floor has a shop front that includes a central pilastered doorway with a fanlight and overlight below, along with a partially glazed door. On either side of the doorway are shop windows, each framed by pilasters, with margin lights and upper narrow horizontal lights that have ornate fan tracery.
