Description

North Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century and late 17th century. It has two storeys and is constructed of timber framing with plaster, featuring 19th century herringbone pargetting in panels. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, and there is an axial chimney made of red brick, which was rebuilt around 1980. Additionally, there are two external chimneys from the 19th and 20th centuries. The windows are late 19th century three-light casements, with those on the ground floor including transoms. The entrance porch, also from the late 19th century, is gabled and has a 20th century glazed and boarded door set within a 19th century frame that features a pediment. The main range shows some unmoulded framing typical of the mid-16th century, while the parlour cell may be later and has a blocked diamond mullioned window. A rear service range was added in the late 17th century or early 18th century.
