Description

Bocking Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century. It has two storeys and a three-cell plan. The building is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features an axial chimney made of red brick from the 17th century. The windows are primarily late 18th century to early 19th century casements with three lights, some of which include transoms. The entrance door, dating from the early 19th century, has six fielded panels. Inside, the original 17th-century framing is exposed, showcasing unmoulded features, chamfered on-edge floor joists, and a butt-purlin roof.
