Description
4A Broad Street is a mid-19th century workshop constructed of red brick with gault-brick dressings and a slate roof. The building stands two stories high and features a three-window range. Central double timber doors, set under a depressed arch, provide access to a carriageway at the rear. On either side of the doors, there are two-light casements beneath segmental heads, with a similar casement located centrally on the first floor. Louvred ventilation panels are positioned to the right and left. The building is topped with a gabled roof that has a stack on the front slope. It is part of a significant group of structures surrounding the Town Hall, contributing to its group value.
