Description
4A and 4B Higher Bore Street is a former coach house dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of painted rubble with timber lintels and features a steep rag slate roof that is hipped at the front. The building has a deep rectangular plan and stands two storeys high. The front elevation has a one-window range, showcasing an original early 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash window above a wide doorway that is fitted with a pair of 20th-century doors. On the left-hand side, there is an early 19th-century 16-pane sash window on the first floor, positioned towards the right. The ground floor includes a doorway left of centre, flanked by two small window openings. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
