Description
No. 7 Lower Bore Street is a town house from the early 19th century. It features a rendered exterior on rubble with a rag slate roof that has three roof lights. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, presenting a regular three-window range. The original ground-floor right window is a 12-pane hornless sash, while the other windows are 20th-century copies. On the right side, there is a two-storey entrance bay that is set back, which includes a 12-pane horned sash window above a round-arched doorway. The doorway has an incised key pattern on the pilasters, panelled reveals, and a spoked fanlight above a six-panel door. The entrance is framed by a distyle Tuscan porch with granite columns and a moulded entablature. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
