Description
No. 4A Castle Street is a house built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of close-jointed squared stone and features a Welsh slate roof with 20th-century yellow brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three slightly irregular bays. There are three steps leading up to a central door, which has been altered and features a fielded panel design with a two-pane overlight above. The ground floor includes four-pane sash windows with slightly projecting sills, while the upper floor has late 19th-century flat-topped oriel windows with a small window in between. All windows have sashes with small-paned upper sections and plain lower sections. The end stacks have been rebuilt. The house is included for its group value.
