Description
No. 4 Dial Place is a house dating from the early 19th century that has been altered. It is constructed of squared tooled stone that has a near-ashlar quality and features a Welsh slate roof with yellow brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. The central door has been renewed and includes a three-pane overlight, while there is a renewed door in an inserted opening immediately to the right. To the right, there is a plain sash window, and to the left, there are two renewed 12-pane sashes in an area that has been refaced, likely replacing a shop window. The upper storey features 12-pane sashes as well, with all windows having slightly-projecting sills. The house has a moulded eaves cornice and coped gables on moulded kneelers, with rebuilt end stacks on the left side resting on an old stone base. The building is included for its group value. The altered wing at the rear is not of special interest.
