Description

No. 4A, known as Hair by Hathaway, is a shop with a house above, built in the mid-19th century. The ground floor features colourwashed render, while the upper floors are made of white brick with similarly rendered dressings. The building has boarded eaves supported by cut brackets and a slate roof, with a white brick stack on the right side. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The shop front is designed in an imitation Georgian style. The upper storeys are adorned with giant pilasters made of white brick, which have rendered capitals and bases, and feature tripartite sash windows with rendered voussoir heads and keyblocks.
