Description
Newman's Delicatessen is a shop with a house above, dating from the 17th century. The building features a timber frame that is partly exposed at the rear, with one beam and brace visible at the front. It was refronted in the late 18th century, showcasing colourwashed brick with partial band courses at the first and second floor levels. The roof is hipped, covered with slate on the front pitch and tiled on the remainder. There is a brick stack on the right side. The structure has three storeys and one bay, with a shop front that includes a door to the left. The upper floors are fitted with barred sash windows that have cambered heads. There is a passage to the left of the shop front.
