Description
No. 10 High Street is a building that originally served as offices and a house. It dates from the 17th century and features exposed timber framing in the right-hand gable wall and at the rear. The building was refronted in the early to mid-19th century with stucco, which is channelled on the ground floor and plain above. It has a slate roof and stands three storeys tall with two bays. The ground floor has 4-pane sash windows set in plain stucco surrounds with triangular tops, while the upper windows are in architrave surrounds with cornices on brackets on the first floor. The central entrance features a three-panel door that is recessed with panelled reveals, and it is framed by a stucco doorcase with Doric columns and a plain entablature.
