Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on Stowupland Street in Stowmarket. The house is built in timber frame, finished with roughcast and colourwashed surfaces, and has a plain tile roof. It follows a lobby entrance plan. The front facade is two storeys high and features a central half-glazed door framed by a single window on each side, the ground-floor windows being boarded over. Above, two three-light casement windows are visible. The gabled roof has a central ridge stack. The north gable displays lower courses of brick and weatherboarding above the lintel line of the ground-floor windows. An outshut lean-to is attached to the south gable. A two-storey brick cross wing extends to the rear of the property.
