Description

Tylers is an 18th-century house located on Cranbrook Road, Goudhurst. The house is timber-framed and weather-boarded, with later painted brick extensions. It has a plain tiled roof, stacks to the centre left and rear, and a half-hipped roof. The building follows a lobby entry plan with a rear wing.

The main two-storey elevation includes two three-light and two two-light leaded wooden casement windows on the first floor, and four leaded wooden casement windows on the ground floor, with two situated in a lean-to to the right, featuring a half-glazed door. The return elevation features a single garret light, a three-light first-floor window, and four-light ground-floor casements. The rear wing is a single storey with an attic, characterized by a gambrel roof, raking dormers, and irregular ground-floor casements.
