Description
Nos. 7, 9, and 9A on Station Road are a range of three shops and an office, originally built in the 16th century with a timber-frame structure. The front of the building was rebuilt in the mid-20th century, and there is a full-height brick rear extension from the same period. The building has plain tile roofs and is two storeys high. It has an east-west orientation parallel to the road, with gabled ends that project towards the road. The front features a uniform collection of three mid-20th century plate-glass shopfronts set on brick plinths, along with a doorway leading to the offices on the first floor. The first floor is illuminated by four metal casement windows from the 20th century. The gabled roofs are present, but the stacks have been removed.
