Description
This building on Station Road in Stowmarket is a shop with origins in the 17th century, significantly remodelled during the mid-19th century. It is timber-framed, with plastered and colourwashed walls, and a slate roof. The building presents two irregular bays over two storeys. The facade features a plank door on the left, followed by a 20th-century plate-glass shopfront, a half-glazed 20th-century door, and a 20th-century display window. Two early 19th-century sash windows with 6/6 glazing bars are located on the first floor. The roof is gabled, with an internal gable-end stack to the west. It was formerly known as No.29 Station Road.
