Description

This early 19th century shop comprises two builds and was altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick with an old plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and has three irregular bays, each set at a different angle to follow the curved street. The ground floor features a 20th-century shopfront on the left-hand side, and plate glass windows either side of a half-glazed door in the centre bays. A fascia extends over the shopfront, supported by brackets at each end. The right-hand bay has a segmental archway with wide double doors. On the first floor, the left-hand bay has a 19th-century canted oriel window with four panes, the central bay has a four-pane sash window, and the right-hand bay has a sash window with a smaller top sash. The roof follows the varying angles of the bays, with a ridge stack located to the right of the centre bays.
