Description

This is an 18th-century house, later altered in the 19th and 20th centuries, and now used as a shop. It is constructed of painted brick with a plain tile roof featuring medieval ridge tiles. The building is two stories high and originally had three bays, although the end bays were widened in the 19th century with full-height canted projections. The central entrance has a 6-panel door and a semi-circular fanlight, set within an altered doorcase featuring pilasters and brackets supporting an open pediment. The ground floor has sheet glass windows on the three faces, with a fascia above. Above are three sash windows. A blind opening is situated between the bays and is now covered by a large clock face. A timber eaves cornice runs across the entire building. The ground floor plinths have been replaced with 20th-century tiles.
