Description
The Conservative Club is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features an old plain tile roof. The building is two stories tall with three bays and has a low addition at one end, along with a large 20th-century development at the rear.
The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above, set within a doorcase that has narrow pilasters and moulded brackets supporting an open pediment. On either side of the door, there are 19th-century six-pane sash windows with narrow panes, each positioned under a camber arch. The first floor has a 19th-century six-pane sash window with narrow panes on one side and an 18th-century 16-pane sash window in the center. The building has external end stacks. At the left-hand end, there is a single-storey addition featuring a blind arched opening.
