WOODBRIDGE ROAD Milestone 70 outside No 325

2. A cast iron milestone. Cast by J Garrett in 1818. It is inscribed Ipswich to London 70 on the upper surface and Yarmouth 53 Woodbridge 6 and St Marg't P. Colchester 19 on the splayed sides. 1 of a series of milestones set up as facings to earlier stones by the Ipswich Southtown (Gt Yarmouth) Turnpike Trust.
