A cast iron milestone. Cast by J Garrett in 1818. It is inscribed Rushmere to London 71 on the upper surface and Yarmouth 52, Woodbridge 5 and Ipswich 2, Colchester 20 on the splayed sides. 1 of a series of milestones set up as facings to earlier stones by the Ipswich Southtown (Gt Yarmouth) Turnpike Trust.
