Description
Humber Doucy House is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that was renovated and restored in the 20th century. It is built on an L-shaped plan, with a wing extending north from the east end. The house has two storeys and features a five-window range with 20th century oak mullioned windows that have metal casements and lattice leaded lights. A raised pargetted band runs between the storeys on the south front, while the rear displays pargetted panels. The south front includes a gabled porch with carved barge boards and a Tudor arch with carved spandrels. The roof is tiled and has diagonal shafted end chimney stacks on rectangular bases, which have been rebuilt.
