Description

This is an early 19th-century house and shop, which has been altered and combined into two separate houses in the 20th century. The front of the building is stuccoed to resemble ashlar, with colourwashed brick on the rear, and has pantile roofs arranged in two parallel sections of differing pitches, both hipped to the east. The two-storey, three-window front has a central half-glazed door set within a doorcase featuring fluted pilasters, a decorated frieze, and a dentil cornice. A 6/6 sash window is located to the left, and a tripartite window with 4/4, 6/6, and 4/4 sashes is positioned to the right. On the first floor, a canted bay window with margin-glazed sashes projects to the right, while a 2/2 horned sash is located to the left and a 1/1 horned sash sits centrally, all within plain stuccoed surrounds. The north-facing return front has been refenestrated with 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected.
