Description
Half Crown Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of plastered and colourwashed brick, topped with a hipped pantile roof that has one stack on both the north and south slopes.
The exterior features a two-storey front with three windows. A central panelled door is located under a plain overlight, set within a porch supported by unfluted columns that rise to a simple architrave, topped with a fretted parapet. On either side of the door, there is a late 19th-century square bay window, each fitted with 2/1 horned sashes, where the upper sashes include additional top margin glazing. The first floor has three sash windows within stuccoed surrounds; the outer windows have 8/8 glazing bars, while the central window has 6/6 glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
