Description

This is a mid-18th century to late 18th century shop and former dwelling, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick with a stuccoed front, stone detailing, and a slate roof. The building is a double-depth block, originally featuring a separate entrance to the dwelling on the left side.

The exterior is three storeys high. A late 19th-century shop front dominates the front of the building, topped by a plain stone coped parapet. A central doorway is framed by pilasters with consoles supporting a cornice above the shop fascia. A doorway to the left has been infilled with a 20th-century window, also framed by pilasters with consoles supporting a hood. The first floor has three horned sash windows, each with central vertical glazing bars, set within openings featuring moulded stone architraves. These openings have raised keystones in the heads and projecting sills on moulded end brackets. The second floor has two similar, but shorter, sash windows above the first-floor end windows, also within openings with matching detailing.

The interior has not been inspected.
