Description
No. 5 Evington is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick and features a slate roof with a brick ridge stack.
The building has two storeys and a dormer attic, with a three-window front. On the right end, there is a projecting bay display window, and to the left, a doorway that has been blocked and converted into a second plate-glass display window. The domestic entrance on the left consists of a panelled door with an overlight and margin lights, all beneath a moulded hood supported by label stops. There is also a plank passageway door to the left. The first floor has three 2/2 sash windows, with the leftmost window being unhorned, and a small light further left above the passageway door. The two gabled dormers feature scalloped bargeboards and 3/3 horned sashes.
The interior has not been inspected.
