Description

This barn, located approximately 50 metres west of Brook Farmhouse, dates from the 18th to 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, sitting on a brick plinth. The roof is covered with red pantiles and features a central gabled midstrey, with lean-to extensions on both sides. The barn consists of five bays, with hanging knees supporting the tie beams and through bracing on the walls. The roof has a side purlin ridge board and intermittent collars. This structure is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
