Former gardener's cottage attached to and contemporary with walled garden. Circa 1790. Probably associated with Sir John Soane. Red brick with pan- tiled roof. 2 storeys and 3 bays of sash windows with glazing bars, beneath skewback arches at ground floor. Central front door with raised and fielded panels beneath skewback arch. Hipped roof with projecting eaves. 2 stacks to rear. Tall walls to garden with flat stone coping. Entrance in west wall beneath segmental arch with planked door with moulded cover strips.
