Description
White House is a house from the second half of the 18th century. It is built of brick, which was formerly colour-washed, and has a black pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, with an additional bay added later. The upper floor features sash windows with glazing bars and jalousie shutters. The ground floor windows are set beneath rusticated skewback arches with cambered soffits. The central front door has raised and fielded panels along with a traceried glazed upper panel. The doorcase is adorned with an eared architrave and a dentilated pediment supported by consoles. The house also has a bracketed cornice and a hipped roof, with stacks located on the rear wall of the main block. There is an outshut at the rear.
