Description
The Lodge to Shotesham Park is a small dwelling built around 1790, likely associated with Sir John Soane. It is constructed from gault brick and features a slate roof with a T-shaped plan. The building is single storey and has a pedimented jetty adorned with a carved laurel wreath and ribbon in the tympanum, supported by two Ionic columns. The front door includes a glazed upper panel and an architrave. There are four sash windows with glazing bars set beneath skewback arches. The building has an axial stack and shallow pitched roofs with projecting eaves. A 20th-century flat-roofed extension has been added to the rear.
